Wipe Out Any Defect Found In Your Vehicle’s Finish
Vehicle Paint Correction & Polishing in Kelowna, BC
The Art of Automotive Paint Correction
So much in the automotive industry is mechanical in nature. Paint correction does have its procedures and a rather meticulous step-by-step method, but the real competency that our enhancement and improvement specialists demonstrate in every vehicle paint restoration project is the human art of cutting with compound, buffing, polishing, and jeweling to perfection.
We at D1 Detailing pride ourselves in how attentive we are while remedying each and every paint defect that plagues an automobile’s finish. From etching and stains to light scratches and swirls, it takes both high-end equipment and the human touch of an automotive artist to eliminate these issues and bring your paintwork to a state of jaw-dropping elegance and gloss.
Contact our paint correction crew today for more information before you book, and you can also get a FREE price quote as well. No matter what, every vehicle that comes to D1 Detailing for paint correction will be inspected following a comprehensive exterior wash and clay-bar decontamination to ensure that all defects, stains, and discrepancies are accounted for.

What Surface Defects Get Removed by Paint Correction?
Swirl Marks or Spider Webbing
Swirl marks - or spider webbing as they are referred to as - are defects in a vehicle’s clear coat that frequently show up following abrasive hand washing or scrubbing with any type of aggressive towel that isn’t microfiber. These are a collection of mini scratches that accumulate on your ride’s surface.
Light Scratches In Clear Coats
More common than swirl marks are long or short light scratches inflicted by belt buckles, falling gardening equipment in your garage, shopping carts in a parking lot, or any other abrasive hazards. Again found in a vehicle’s clear coat, light scratches are NOT deep enough to break into the paintwork of your ride and can be leveled by cutting the clear coat.
Etching and Marring Marks
Etching takes place when acid rain eats away at your vehicle’s clear coat, and marring is another unfortunate discrepancy that results from scrubbing when washing or drying the exterior of a vehicle. We at D1 Detailing use compounds and light abrasion techniques to reverse the impact that etching and marring has on our car, truck, or SUV’s paintwork.
